The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. We had coffee pods in our coffee/tea basket but no coffee machine to put them in, just remove the pods and we wouldn't have said anything :)

The location is stunning, the area is beautiful. The hotel itself is right in the middle of the High Street so its great for exploring the area. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and the room was very comfortable and quiet.

Brilliant. No written menu because they offered a completely flexible request system at the table by a member of staff. Food was hot, well cooked and very tasty. Delicious flat white coffee, nice big cups and saucers for hot drinks. Well done. Liked the very friendly and competent staff. Liked the lively pub atmosphere in the bar, lots of locals as well as visitors which is always a good sign of a well run bar. Lovely newish fluffy towels in room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The pub was busy (Friday evening), but we had booked a table to eat so not a problem, and the atmosphere was great. Food was basic pub grub, but very well prepared and presented. Good beer.

Location is right on the high street. Breakfast is excellent value, good portions. The bar is friendly with a good food and drink selection and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable, well appointed and despite being over a busy bar and in the main street, it was quiet.

A "classic" English town pub. Had a nice buzz, very friendly staff, and my room was nice, roomy and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was VERY NICE.

Loved the location - very central. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean and even though we had been advised of live music, the sound proofing was very good and once in our room couldn't hear a thing and slept soundly. The Manager and staff we met were all very friendly and made us and our German Shepherd very welcome.
